The center of gravity or the level of activity is used to make the wheelchair easy to tip-over sturdy:
- The further the focus of the user in front of the axle of the rear wheel is, the less unsteady and more passive the wheelchair becomes.
If necessary, a wheelbase extension can be used to make the chair even more stable.
- The further the focus of the user behind the axle of the rear wheel is, the more active and unsteady the wheelchair becomes.
