Requirement

The reason for this special construction request was the required very low seat height of 25 cm. This was to enable the user to scoot along with their feet. Our Mio wheelchairs for children start at a low seat height of 31.5 cm with 18″ drive wheels and 4″ steering wheels. Customization was therefore unavoidable.

Solution

The Mio was the basis for this special design. The low seat height of 25 cm could be achieved with 16″ wheels and further adaptations. As the child is mainly pushed or straddled, neither push rims nor a footplate were necessary.
